Experience the grace of Christ in all things

Everything was made in, through, and for Christ, and he is redeeming both his people and his creation from the bondage of sin. We pray that through our new church, God will redeem the unchurched, underchurched, and dechurched to new life in Christ. Jesus is Lord of every square inch and we pray he redeems families, schools, businesses, communities, and cities by the Holy Spirit.

Our Values

Rooted in Christ

We are united with Christ through his life, death, resurrection, and ascension. Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is seated at the right hand of God. The Holy Spirit unites us with Christ and his victory over sin, death, and the devil. Our relationship with Jesus stirs us to rigorous prayer and repenting of our sin. The Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit and reveals this good news to us.. There has never been, nor ever will be a book like the Bible. It’s God’s special revelation to us. It reveals God’s character and God’s story to us.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5

Relational Evangelism

Jesus commissioned us to encourage Christians to grow deep roots of faith so we are not blown over by the winds of this world. He gave us the ministry of reconciliation to urge our friends and family to be reconciled to God through relational evangelism.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all peoples, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. ” Matthew 28:18-20

Renewing the Cities

Our Sovereign Lord is not only redeeming his people, but is renewing the world under his restorative reign. As humble servants in the Kingdom of God, we seek to renew all spheres of society since Christ is Lord of every square inch. Shalom is an ancient Hebrew word that means harmony, wholeness, and peace. In the beginning, there was perfect harmony between Creator, creatures, and creation. We join Christ in restoring shalom to the Twin Cities and to the world.

“For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” Colossians 1:19-20

What is the Christian Reformed Church?

Good question! The Christian Reformed Church highlights the grace of God through Christ crucified. We believe the Lord is sovereign over all things, not only the salvation of his people but the renewal of all things, including the Twin Cities. We are justified before a holy God by the blood of Jesus and we are being sanctified by the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We are a New Covenant people, united in Christ and committed to serving each other and our communities.

The CRC is a network of 1000 churches in the USA and Canada. Our national gathering, Synod, meets once a year in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at one of our universities, Calvin University and Seminary. Scripture is our highest authority and our Reformed Confessions guide us in our interpretation of Scripture. Some of our influential theologians are John Calvin, Herman Bavinck, Tim Keller, and Abraham Kuyper, who is quoted below.
